Fantasia's Gettin' Down with the Get Down

Fantasia Barrino - Always On My Mind
Amy Adams - Sin Wagon

Wow. Fantasia was in a dress tonight, and rather subdued. I still found it spectacular. Though Simon and the rest of the judges agreed that Fantasia has proved she can pretty much sing anything, they wanted to see her "fun-self". Hello, that was the whole point, it was a serious song dammit, and she looked great in the dress.

My thoughts however are looking into the future when there are only five or six left in the competition. Unfortunately, the rest of the upstarts would have developed a loyal following by then, and I can see some serious competition. I now believe that by fanbase alone, Jon Peter Lewis will make it to the top three. And believe it or not after reading the online forums, there is now an anybody-but-Fantasia vote out there. I am so worried. I have to create a side blog for Fantasia Fans.

Amy Adams was great tonight. She's like your "friend" in the competition. And Will Hung has an upcoming CD. I love this show.

Updates: William Hung is #6 on iTunes:
She Bangs

Josh Gracin has a new country single:
I Want to Live

Apparently, former American Idol 2 contestants are pretty busy. Kimberly Caldwell posed for Maxim. Vanessa Olivares is trying to conquer Canada. And Corey Clark (who was disqualified) is trying to sell his music on the Internet.

Also, RJ Helton, from American Idol 1 has posters all over Manhattan announcing his new gospel single.
