In a special episode of Fantasia For Real, Fantasia Barrino talks straight to the camera about her suicide attempt.
It was awful. I guess Fantasia really needed the money and VH1 and Fantasia's peeps don't have a sense of decency to keep something like this private. They kept the cameras rolling less than 24 hours after she attempted suicide!
Suicide is VERY SERIOUS. Not an episode opportunity for a reality show. I am very disappointed.
Fantasia f#cking won American Idol and is beloved by millions -- what more does she want in life to make her happy? Anyway, this "everybody is against us" and "I'm a victim" attitude (aside from self-fulfilling) is actually quite a turn off.
And don't get me started with Fantasia (and her family) feeling self-important. Thankfully, I love Fantasia because she sings with pathos. All the other stuff about her however is tabloid-fodder which doesn't make me happy as a fan, but unfortunately something she has embraced to extend her showbiz career.
I cannot defend her. But I will still cry when she sings since I can't help myself.
