Exclusive Interview - Billy Bell to SYTYCD Auditioners: Don't Be Afraid To Have Fun

I interviewed Billy Bell who is currently on the So You Think You Can Dance Tour. Thanks to everyone for sending me questions on Twitter. I think we got some good answers!
Sometime during the interview, CJ my puppy started barking/whining again. Sigh. She's been doing this everytime I do an interview, LOL. What's up with that?
SYTYCD Auditions start next week in Oakland (then in Brooklyn in November) and I asked Billy for some thoughts.
He also told me about his concrete plans after the tour:
1. He will tour with JUMP
2. He will pursue his own choreography with Lunge Dance (look out for announcements on the new website)
3. Plus a bunch of plans to audition for some companies like Cedar Lake Ballet and Azure and with Mia Michaels.
His go to music: Ezio Bosso.

“SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE” SEASON EIGHT AUDITIONS
BEGIN WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, IN OAKLAND, CA
FOX has ordered an eighth season of the original dance competition show, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, and auditions for the new season will begin Wednesday, Oct. 13 in Oakland, CA, at the Paramount Theatre of the Arts. The show will continue to search for America’s Favorite Dancer with the second stop for auditions in New York on Monday, Nov. 15 at the Howard Gilmore Opera House at BAM in Brooklyn. Created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, summer’s hottest series showcases talented dancers – skilled in everything from Ballet, Breaking, Krumping and Salsa to Swing, Tap and Contemporary Jazz – competing for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.
“In addition to discovering fantastic new talent, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has introduced viewers to the young, edgy, incredibly creative side of dance we hadn’t seen before on television,” said Nigel Lythgoe, series co-creator, executive producer and judge. “From the Emmy-winning choreography to the amazing contestants, DANCE is a cultural phenomenon, and we’re excited that it will be back for another season.”
Once again, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE will travel across the U.S. in search of the best and most talented dancers in the country. Those who shine during auditions are given a ticket to Las Vegas for callbacks, where they will work with top choreographers to learn and then be judged on multiple styles of dance.
