I think this is Marques' best video to date. It's very insightful on why Beats charges so much for what aren't really the best headphones on the market. It's all about image and what you pay for are the advertising costs that Beats adds to its markup. Apparently, the better your marketing and branding, the higher you can charge if the market will take it.

No wonder Apple like them. It's all about image not quality.

Marques is very partial to the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, which costs far less than Beats by Dre headphones.
