Esperanza Spalding and Herbie Hancock perform 'Fragile' at Kennedy Center Honors 2014 (VIDEO)

Esperanza Spalding and Herbie Hancock performed 'Fragile' at Kennedy Center Honors 2014 honoring Sting.

This is one of my favorite Sting songs and Esperanza really did a great job. Just straight up perform (with a double bass) and no unnecessary theatrics. Nice one!

Al Green, Tom Hanks, ballerina Patricia McBride, Sting and Lily Tomlin were the honorees at the 37th annual gala hosted by Stephen Colbert. Performers and presenters included: Jane Fonda; Lady Gaga; Jennifer Hudson; Garrison Keillor; David Letterman; Reba McEntire; Martin Short; Steven Spielberg; Bruce Springsteen; Mavis Staples; Meryl Streep; and Usher.
