Emily Wickersham Upgraded to Series Regular on 'NCIS'

Following the departure of NCIS fan-favorite Cote de Pablo in her role of Ziva, the creative team behind the series is adding another powerful female character to the mix. Emily Wickersham is set to be Ziva's replacement on the team.

They must be feeling exceedingly optimistic about her role on the show as Emily has just been upgraded to series regular status, before her debut on the show has even taken place.
“Emily Wickersham’s Ellie Bishop is proving to perfectly compliment the NCIS team,” said executive producer Gary Glasberg.  “Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious.  Great things are planned for Bishop and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on-board.”
Emily is set to play Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop, a specialist in international threat assessment and preparation who is said to be a mysterious mix of determination and analytical brilliance.

The character of Eleanor Bishop is set to make her debut on NCIS on November 19th.

NCIS airs Tuesdays on CBS.
