During his upcoming show in San Diego he says he plans to debut some new material to "see how people react to the music."

Here are some highlights from his morning chat:

On his big success in Japan...

"Obviously I can't explain it. Thank god for Japan, I'll just put it that way. You know, the world is a big place and music is a universal language that connects us all. I'm just really fortunate to have a career over there and travel over there. At this point i'm not going to ask too many questions about it.

"My Japanese vocabulary bank seems to grow every trip that I make there. It's a really tough language, but I'm really intrigued by it."

Star: Did you pick up any Japanese? Elliot: "I picked up many."
