Ellen Page Comes Out As Gay - Video

It's official. Ellen Page has come out as gay.

The Juno star made the announcement today in Las Vegas at a press conference with the Human Rights Campaign. THRIVE was a conference held to benefit LGBTQ youth.

She announced that she was tired of hiding and hoped that this would be a way to help others.

Ellen told the crowd "I'm here today because I am gay. And because maybe I can help make a difference." Ellen went on to say "I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission. I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered. And I’m standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain."

Congrats!
