Ella Henderson performs 'Yours' in the RAK Studio (VIDEO)

Since coming in sixth place on the 9th series of The X Factor UK in 2012 (a result that still shocks me to this day), Ella Henderson has made waves in the music industry. She was signed to Simon Cowell's Syco Music, and released a single written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. The song, "Ghost" (which she performed last night on The X Factor Australia in her Australian television debut), quickly shot to No. 1 in the UK, and remained in the Top 8 for eight straight weeks.

But even if "Ghost" weren't such a damn catchy song, it would probably still stand out because of Ella's incredible voice. And there have been very few showcases for that wonderful voice that have been better than Ella's RAK Studio Sessions.

In this performance of "Yours" from Ella's upcoming album, Chapter One, the singer is accompanied by nothing more than a piano and the velvety smooth layers of her own soulful voice. It's an understated performance that does all the work in selling that Chapter One is an album that absolutely cannot be missed. Watch the full performance video below:
