Elizabeth Mitchell Joins 'Once Upon A Time' Season 4

Elizabeth Mitchell is probably best known to audiences as Dr. Juliet Burke on ABC's Lost, although she was most recently seen on the now-canceled NBC drama, Revolution. However, Mitchell is now headed to Storybrooke for Season 4 of Once Upon A Time in a mysterious new role.

Mitchell is joining the ensemble as part of the long-awaited Frozen storyline. Although it's unknown at this point exactly what role Mitchell will play specifically, it's rumored that her character will be a villain. The Frozen storyline itself is already among the most hotly-anticipated arcs in the history of the show, and ABC is already making waves with casting announcements. Once Upon A Time has already cast Princess Anna and her beau, Kristoff, in addition to Queen Elsa herself, but these casting announcements only feel like the tip of the iceberg. (Yes, I see what I did there, and I'm leaving it in.)

Mitchell is one of my favorite TV actresses, and she's a perfect fit for the world of Storybrooke -- and likely Arendelle, as well. I still find myself wondering, though, if we'll be getting any songs in the new season. Once Upon A Time isn't a musical, but when it's adapting elements of a movie whose soundtrack has been in the Billboard Top 5 for 28 straight weeks, all bets are probably off.
