Actress + Thespian Elaine Stritch Dead at 89

The mistress of sass Elaine Stritch has sadly passed away. The Hollywood and Broadway legend was 89-years-old.

Throughout her storied 70 year career, Stritch was awarded three Emmys and nominated for four Tonys.

Although most likely you know her as Alec Baldwin's acerbic mother on the beloved sitcom 30 Rock.

To celebrate her career on the stage, Broadway theatres will dim their lights in Stritch's memory at 7:45PM tomorrow (July 18) for one minute.

Said fellow thespian Liza Minnelli of the news, "Elaine was a magnificent woman in every sense of the word. A true trail blazer. Her talent and spunk will be greatly missed by so many of us."
