In a shocking report, Soap Opera Digest is saying that Eileen Davidson is leaving Days of Our Lives!
Eileen Davidson returned as villainess Kristen Blake DiMera in 2012 after a 14-year absence, and was responsible for helping reboot the show after a slump. She last taped in July 16th but will air throughout the rest of the year since DAYS tapes so far ahead. Bad news for DAYS!
DAYS' executive producer Ken Corday said, "The Kristen story wrap-up is just fantastic; she was just glorious. The official word there is that Eileen Davidson is leaving the show to take some time out with her family. Will she come back? We'll see. But she's not going to another show. I am thankful for all she's brought to us. It was the first shot in the arm we needed. A big shot in the arm."
At least it seems to be on her own terms, I'd flip out of DAYS was the one who got rid of her. Hopefully she'll return there soon. Maybe she'll return to Y&R, where she also portrayed Ashley Abbott Newman for many years. Ashley is desperately need in there too. However the way writing is at Y&R now, I just hope that they'd do right by her.
