Eddie Vedder Let's It Flow, LA Says It Twice, Tony's Million $ Babies, Love for All & Just Another Day in Miami - Friday Music
This week the musical selections are just some of the talent I covered in the last week on my blog, Soundtrack to my Day. From arena Gods Pearl Jam to independent artists Say It Twice and Tom Goss, to Broadway stars, to Latin heartthrobs, the music is individual as the stories behind them. Rock, Rockabilly or Pop, it all speaks to us in different ways, from raw edge to polished tone. So let's get to the music.
What more can be said about Pearl Jam? Their music is at once layer, textured, cacophonous, soulful, heavy, metallic, honest, brutal, sweet and forgiving. Once they were the kings of Grunge, but now they are just Rock Royalty. Here they perform Even Flow from a live video. [Saturday Rocks - Pearl Jam]

Say It Twice recently released their second EP, a follow-up to a highly successful debut that set the unsigned band apart from the pack. This video for the latest release, The Road You Know, was just out this week. [Say It Twice - The Road You Know]

Nominated for three Tony Awards, Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet is turning heads all over. The show dramatizes an evening in the studio with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins at Sun Studios. Levi Kreis was nominated for a Tony for his portrayal of Lewis, and already took home the Outer Critic Circle Award. [Dark Monday - Million Dollar Quartet]

Talented singer/songwriter Tom Goss is based in Washington, DC, and his song, Till The End, was named Outstanding Song by QBliss in their Creating Change Community Awards. The song is a smart and charming song about the reality of love, and wanting to be together forever, no matter your age, race or sexual orientation. [Tom Goss Wins Award]

The early 90s belonged to Jon Secada, both as a songwriter and a performer. He wrote several for Gloria Estefan, including the hit Coming Out Of The Dark. Then in 1992 he cut out the middle man, charting his own hit with Just Another Day. Based in Miami, the Cuban-born American kept the Latin flavor in his American Pop, making a several chart-topping albums and singles. [Worth Another Listen - Jon Secada]
