Ed Hardy and Von Dutch designer Christian Audigier Dead at 57

Ed Hardy and Von Dutch designer Christian Audigier has died. He was 57.

The designer was diagnosed with cancer in January. It was Myelodysplastic Syndrome, the same bone disease that ABC News anchor Robin Roberts had.

Audigier aggressively promoted his brands by hiring celebrities to be photographed in his shirts by the paparazzi. Von Dutch and Ed Hardy quickly became "in" brands to wear, until they ultimately wore out their welcome as people perceived them to be brands for douchebags because after a while only the douchebag d-list stars wore them.
