Drake to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 'Nothing Was the Same'
Champagne Papi has a lot to celebrate! Drake is set to top the Billboard 200 with his new album, Nothing Was the Same. Find out how many units he sold:
Drake sold 658,000 copies of the album, which is the second largest opening week of the year behind Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience. This debut is slightly better than his last album, 2011's Take Care, which opened with 631,000 copies.
NWTS is also the biggest opening for a rap album since Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV in September 2011 with 964,000. Since 2010, only seven other albums have had bigger openings overall.
Congrats Drizzy!
