Drake Cancels Grammy Nominations Concert Performance

The Grammy Nominations Concert airs live tonight on CBS, but the show has already lost one of its highest profile performers mere hours before the show.

A rep for Drake has confirmed that the rapper has canceled his performance for tonight's concert.

“Unfortunately, due to scheduling complications, Drake will no longer be performing,” his reps tell TMZ. “[He's] currently in the middle of his nationwide ‘Would You Like A Tour?’ and sincerely apologizes to his fans that he can’t be there.”

Of course, this ignores the fact that Drake doesn't actually have a show scheduled tonight, and even if he did, he was announced for the Grammy nominations concert in October. This means he's known about the date for at least two months now, which raises the question of why he's only canceling now. What gives, Drizzy?

Ah well, even without him, the concert still has Lorde, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and others. So it should still be a decent show. No word on if Drake will be replaced on the show, however.

The Grammy nominations concert airs tonight at 10:00 PM ET on CBS.
