Drake Bell Says There's No Feud Between Him and Justin Bieber
Even though he continually insults Justin Bieber, to the point where he urged people to sign a petition to have him deported, Drake Bell says he's not in a feud with the Biebs.
Riiiiight.
"I don’t regret saying anything I say, ever. Sometimes when it’s completely taken out of context or misconstrued or misquoted, then that’s kind of a bummer," Drake admitted to Celebuzz, referencing some comments about Ariana Grande.
As for the mess with Bieber, Bell most recently made comments about how artists like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga should control their fans who attack and threaten others.
Bell explained, "It’s one thing if Seth Rogen or some other star says something… I think because we’re so close in demographic… my fans are his fans’ age and they cross paths a lot, that might be why the clash is so fierce."
"It’s not like that. [There’s] no jealousy or anything. He’s a pop singer, I’m a rock and roll musician."
Bell continued, "I get on the stage with my guitar around my waist and turn my amp up. There’s no bone to pick there with artistry. I just think we’re so close in generations, that’s why it gets picked up. ‘Oh, he’s jealous because he’s this and that.’ It’s just like what everybody else is saying and commenting."
"I’ve grown up in the business and I’ve had young fans for a very long time. I’ve seen the impressions and how much they look up to you and how much every word and every action you do they eat it up and they take it to school and tell their friends ... The Belieber fans are out of control. That’s what got me engaged."
"I wanted to bring that to light. I have nothing against the kid."
Although he would go on to admit, "I can’t say I’m a fan of his music."
