Donald Trump Appoints Ex-WWE CEO Linda McMahon Head of SBA
It looks like a former WWE executive will be a key part of President-elect Donald Trump's new administration.
Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon has been selected by Trump to head the Small Business Administration, the federal agency in charge of loans to small businesses. The SBA is also in charge of ensuring small businesses receive a certain amount of federal contracts.
McMahon isn't exactly new to politics, having unsuccessfully run twice for a U.S. Senate seat in Connecticut. She was also a certified "Mega Donor" to the Trump campaign, pledging in excess of $6 million toward seeing the WWE Hall of Famer elected to the highest office in the country.

For his part, Trump qualified his McMahon pick by stating that "Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country's top female executives advising business around the globe." He would go on to add, "She helped grow WWE from a modest 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide."
In her own statement, McMahon took to Twitter:
Honored to be appointed by President-Elect @realDonaldTrump to serve as head of @SBAgov advocating for our small businesses & entrepreneurs!

Husband Vince McMahon added his own congratulations over social media:
Congrats @Linda_McMahon on your nomination. I’m very proud and know you’ll do an excellent job. #SBA
