FOX's Gotham has added a veteran of investigative cop dramas to its police force.

Donal Logue, a recent veteran of the now-canceled BBC America drama Copper, has been cast as Detective Harvey Bullock, the partner to future-Commissioner Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) on Gotham.

The show has already received a series commitment, so the show has considerably less pressure on it than a pilot trying to get picked up to series. But that doesn't mean that FOX's hopes aren't already riding high on the DC Comics adaptation.

Gotham is scheduled to begin filming on March 17 in New York, with the series set to premiere during the 2014-2015 broadcast season.
