Dolly Parton Reveals US Release Date of 'Blue Smoke', Track Listing
Dolly Parton has finally revealed the US release date for her latest studio album, Blue Smoke.
It was released in Australia and New Zealand on January 31st, as she began her world tour there last week, but US fans will have to wait until May 13th for the new album, before she begins her North American tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 22nd.
"On this CD I think there are all of the colors of my life in all the areas of music that you’ve allowed me to dabble in through the years," Dolly explains. "You will hear my old world mountain voice on songs like 'Banks of The Ohio' and 'If I Had Wings', my tender side on songs like 'Miss You – Miss Me' and 'Unlikely Angel'. My country / bluegrass side on songs like 'Home', 'Blue Smoke' and 'Don’t Think Twic', and my funny tongue-in-cheek side on 'Lover du Jour.'"
She goes on to mention her upcoming US tour: "It’s always great to perform at home in the good ol' USA," She says. "I love traveling all over the world; but it’s true, there’s nothing like home."
