Doctors Recommend Long Term for Hospitalization Amanda Bynes

Treatment for Amanda Bynes may be necessary for at least a year according to a new report. In order to find the proper medication and success, doctors are said to be recommending long term hospitalization.

Via NY POST:
Physicians at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center will submit a recommendation to the judge overseeing her mother Lynn’s bid for conservatorship, stating Bynes needs prolonged treatment and should remain in her mother's care, Radar Online reported.

“Her diagnosis is complex, and the appropriate drug cocktail to treat her hasn’t been achieved...Lynn needs to be granted permanent conservatorship because Amanda wouldn’t agree to continue with treatment, ” an insider told the gossip site.

Doctors are treating Bynes with schizophrenia though she has not been formally diagnosed with the mental illness, reports Radar Online.

“She has her good days and bad days, and the goal is obviously to get her therapeutic and stable before being released. Given time and the correct treatment and medicine, Amanda could and should absolutely be able to live with it and be a productive member of society,” an insider told the site.

“In fact, she wouldn’t likely suffer from symptoms of it if she stays on her medication.”
Take it with a grain of salt but I think everyone can agree that being closely monitored would benefit Amanda in the long run.
