Doctor Who Series 8 has yet to premiere, but showrunner Steven Moffat is already putting fan minds at ease about the future.

Moffat has confirmed that Series 9 will air in 2015 -- without a split! It's part of a plan to do away with split seasons, a move first revealed by Moffat in an interview with Doctor Who Magazine. In the interview, Moffat stated: "We're not going to do splits [in Series 8], and the same format will repeat exactly [for Series 9] the following year [2015] like that. So it will be the traditional form."

Series 8 will premiere this August on BBC One and BBC America.
