Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special Coming to Select Theaters in 3D

Ever wanted to see Doctor Who on the big screen? Well, BBC America is giving audiences their first chance to see The Doctor on the big screen since Peter Cushing played the role in the Dalek series of films in the 1960s.

Movie theaters in 11 U.S. cities will offer special 3-D screenings of the upcoming Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special, “The Day Of The Doctor,” courtesy of BBC America. The screenings will be simulcast with the world television premiere of the special at the 7:00 PM UK airtime, meaning East Coast fans can see it on the big screen at 2:00 PM, while West Coast watchers can hit the theaters at 11:00 AM.

Tickets go on sale today through Cinemark and Fandango, so get your tickets now! In addition to the film, participating theaters will also feature a 10-minute behind-the-scenes featurette with executive producer Steven Moffat and the cast. BBC America has also announced encore screenings on November 25 in more than 300 movie theaters.
