Disney's 'Shake It Up' to end after three seasons
Along with Good Luck Charlie, Disney Channel's "Shake It Up," starring Zendaya and Bella Thorne, will come to a close soon.
An exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter says that Shake It Up will "end its run after 78 episodes with a specific end date not yet determined." Last month it was announced GLC will end after its fourth season and 100 episodes.
Zendaya will remain with Disney with at least one more project, a new Disney Channel Original Film based on the movie Boys are Dogs. Thorne will appear in the new Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore movie, Blended.
Nevertheless, both Thorne and Zendaya are signed to Disney's Hollywood Records, with Zendaya's new single "Replay" out now.
Disney Channel is currently retooling its live-action comedies, with Boy Meets World spin-off Girl Meets World premiering soon as well as the Olivia Holt-led I Didn't Do It.
