Dexter Roberts - American Idol 2014 - Sweet Home Alabama - Video

Dexter Roberts - American Idol 2014 (FOX)

Lynyrd Skynyrd sang "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd on American Idol XIII 2014 Season 13 Top 11.

Voting Number: 1-855-4-IDOL-01

Preparation

The song is from "Forrest Gump". There wasn't any reason for this song since Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest were trying to be funny (and failing).

Performance Video

I felt this was a safe song choice for Dexter. After last week's awesome performance, I wanted a bit more. He should have pushed a bit more. This didn't go anywhere really.

My Rating: 3 / 5 stars

Judges Comments

Judge	Critique
Keith Urban: Loving the haircut. You are really starting to feel the thing now.
Jennifer Lopez: It's all about the personality. I think you are starting to believe that you can win too.
Harry Connick Jr.: I thought it was a good performance. But you have to be bigger than that song.
