Derek Hough Joins 'Nashville' Season 3

Derek Hough is playing leap frog, jumping from Dancing With the Stars on Monday to Nashville on Wednesdays.

The Emmy-winning choreographer is joining Nashville in a recurring role for Season 3. Hough will play Noah West, a “beguiling and disarming” movie star who finds himself deep into the country music scene after landing the lead role in a country singer's biopic. Could it be a film about Luke Wheeler? I suppose we'll find out when the new season premieres on September 24th.

As for Hough, it's going to be a pretty busy autumn, between Nashville and his return to the dance floor as a pro on Season 19 of Dancing With the Stars. In fact, I'm wondering how he'll even find time to shoot his scenes, what with the rigorous weekly rehearsals for Dancing With the Stars. That said, if anyone can pull off double-duty and make it look like no big deal, it's probably Hough.
