Demi Lovato admits to putting subpar vocal talent through on 'The X Factor' last season
I thought something was wrong with my ears when Demi Lovato constructed her team on The X Factor last year and notably left out a lot of talent. She says that's changing this year.
In an interview with MTV News, Demi admits that her team had a poor showing this year, and that was because of the way she chose people - based on overall package not vocal talent (like Paige Thomas and CeCe Frey had that).
Lovato said 'I’ve raised my bar, I put a lot of people through last year that had the overall package but didn’t have the best voices. And now I’ve raised the bar where I am not putting anyone through that I don’t think has the winning vocal capability and so I say no to a lot of people.
