Degrassi: Now or Never - Mr. Brightside Part 2 - Recap

Since getting kicked out of the school gym, Drew is going into workout overdrive at home. Once again, this is a plot I appreciate because who doesn't enjoy a sweaty shirtless guy with a punching bag? Drew apologizes to Kate and tries to get himself together. He joins the newspaper for about a day before he's back to checking out illegal cage fights. Drew's friends chicken out when they see how hardcore the fighters are but Drew hops in as soon as he can. He gets his ass handed to him and actually ends up getting choked until he passes out. This only makes him more determined and more obsessed with getting back in the ring. He goes back for a rematch and wins this time. But he doesn't stop once his opponent gives up. His friends drag him out and Katie tries to get him to focus his anger on karate instead.

Dave and Alli try again meeting her parents. This time, the real Dave is attending. Alli is honest with her parents and they're surprisingly willing to negotiate. Alli is thrilled that Dave can come over and play poker with her dad and she looks forward to a Summer full of them being together. Her plans are thrown for a loop when she gets into a Summer science program.

Holly J decides to meet with her birth mom again. She wants to at least attempt to have a relationship with her after apologizing even though she can't buy her kidney from her. I don't really think it was reasonable of her birth mom to demand 20 thousand dollars from her but Holly J is fine with it. Fiona gets a glimpse of Holly's birth mom's old prom dress and thinks it's the perfect one for her. She's willing to buy it and offers to pay a cool 20 grand for the dress. It's a kidney loophole! Fiona is the best friend ever.
