Dean Ray sang 'Lonely Boy' on The X Factor Australia 2014 Live Show 9 on Sunday, October 5, 2014.

I thought it was a better vocal than it was a performance. It just felt overly affected and theatrical, and I think Dean is better than that. Still, this was a pretty damn good vocal, as Dean continues to prove that he can do pretty much anything. Granted, this was sort of in his vocal wheelhouse, but I think the point still stands. Dean is such a complete, package artist that it's hard to imagine he isn't a lock for the grand final in two weeks. Hell, at this rate, he's my pick to win this entire thing.
