David Hernandez at the American Idol 7 Top 24 launch party.

David Hernandez was a finalist on Arizona Idol just like last year's American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. Jordin won but David didn't. However this did not stop David Hernandez from getting through the auditions in San Diego and all the way to the Top 24.

David Hernandez's musical influences are Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Alicia Keys, Anthony Hamilton, Michael Jackson, Peabo Bryson. He loves Alicia Keys.
