David Cook - "Light On" Single to Be Released Next Week

Straight from David Cook at the Ford Day Meet and Greet.

David Cook will release his latest single "Light On" next week. Yay! (Thanks Desi!)

The pirate speaks,"David Cook be releasin' his latest sin'le "Light On" next week." Arrrrrrrr.

Update: Here's the official e-mail from DavidCookOfficial.com (Yay, we had the news a couple of hours before his website. Thanks Desi!)

Hey guys,

As promised, I wanted you to be the first to know the name of the first single so here it is:

It's called "Light On" and you'll be able to hear it real soon!

Stay tuned to DavidCookOfficial.com next week for more details!

Thanks,

~D

Update: I just reconfirmed with Desi that David Cook said that the single is called "Light On" and it's coming out next week -- "midweek", he said. It's possible that this is a radio preview just like they did with David Archuleta's "Crush" -- because MJ's Big Blog is adamantly saying that the single is not coming out next week according to her source. It's also possible that David misspoke to a crowd of adoring fans and let the cat out of the bag before his publicists could stop him. Maybe next week might just be the announcement of when the single comes out. Nevertheless, we are just reporting what David Cook said to the fans in the Meet and Greet.
