David Cook - Cookeys

Here's the David Cook post. Please stop jumping into the David Archuleta threads just to harass. It's so unhealthy -- and surprising since I believe many of the Cookeys were well behaved unlike some of the Angels who attempted to burn the house that Rickey built a few weeks ago. Some of you just lost self-control over the past 24 hours, I'm a little disappointed.

If David Cook wins tonight then you get your shocker, if not there is nothing to be ashamed of. David Cook has the potential to outsell David Archuleta in anything, win or lose. In fact, I may even concede the it is a certainty. However, jumping into the Archey threads just to shake things up as if the Archey Angels have no right to celebrate their Idol is a 'no'.

I think David Cook held back last night, but even then, he gave a more than satisfactory performance. He also stayed true to his convictions, singing the song he wanted to sing to an audience of millions, and not the song he or others thought he "should" sing. I think you can take home a ton of satisfaction in that. He did not sell out to the American Idol machine, and he may come out a better artist because of it. I believe "Always Be My Baby" will be the most popular song on the Summer Tour no matter what happens.
