David Cook - Cellcaster Controversy

Some fans have asked me to "stop sending cellcasters" to the buses after the show because this has been creating chaos with the fans and the Idols. Hmmm...

First of all, I doubt that the cellcasters are causing all the frenzy around the Idols -- give them some credit, the fans go crazy because of them, not because of a fan with a cellphone screaming "Rickey.org" or "Puppy Johns". There are sometimes 200 people waiting so its understandable that the fans get very excited. Although the thought that people go instantly crazy when the words "Puppy Johns" are uttered is kinda... cute.

Secondly, I do not "send cellcasters to the buses." If they are going to the buses on their own accord, we request that we "listen-in" if it's okay with them. Some are willing some are not, and some just don't go. But I've never asked anyone to go there just because of Rickey.org.

Thirdly, I have no idea how the Idols feel about our cellcasters, but I'd like to think it's just an interesting sideshow. There's so many things going on right now with everyone that I doubt that a fan asking David Cook to say "Hi" to us for one second of his life on the tour almost every night truly "bothers" him.

I just want to make that clear. We will continue to listen in when we can. Hopefully I will get to tell David Cook and the others about what we do almost every night so they get a better appreciation of the cellcasters asking shoutouts.
