David Archuleta - Voice Coach: Jeff Archuleta Out of Rehearsal Area is a "Fairness Issue"

David Archuleta's voice coach Dean Kaelin was on the "Early Show" on CBS this morning to talk about Dadchuletagate.

He said that Jeff Archuleta was not banned from American Idol and was with David Archuleta yesterday for a photoshoot. He however acknowledged that Jeff Archuleta has indeed been requested not to be in "the rehearsal area when he (David) is working on the arrangements" as a "fairness issue". He said that all the contestants ask for advice from friends and coaches, but Jeff Archuleta -- David's main adviser -- just happens to be right there since he is David's guardian on the show.

And so there you have it: Jeff Archuleta has indeed been requested by American Idol not to be present in the rehearsal room where they do the arrangements for David's 3 songs this week.

I'm just perplexed by the timing if indeed it is a "fairness issue" as Dean has stated because it's been 11 weeks since Jeff Archuleta has been in the rehearsal room advising David Archuleta -- and it's all of a sudden "unfair" now?

Anyway, whatever the reasons, David is just by himself now when the arrangements are created for him. This is added pressure since he's always had his dad there, but I am confident that he will do well.

Go David Archuleta! To Archuleta Avenue and beyond!
