David Archuleta to sign with Jive Records

After the announcement that David Cook has signed with RCA Records yesterday, news is creeping in that David Archuleta will sign with Jive Records. There is already a single waiting for David to record -- which we hope will be heavily promoted during the Summer Tour -- we can buy the music after we see them in concert, what a novel idea! LOL -- I think David Archuleta will follow the Clay Aiken Runner-Up sales trajectory closer than any other American Idol Runner-Up. A single (or two) during the Summer can only help.

Looks like 19 Entertainment is striking while the iron is hot on this one. This is probably the earliest that announcements like these have been made. And it's apparent that both Davids will be busy recording during this Summer while others are busy trying to sign a record deal or whatever else they can do. How exciting!

Did 2 Davids win the year? Apparently so. So many fans are now feeling that after the press tour and these record deal announcements that Archey and Cookey won the season.

I think we fans should act exactly how the 2 David camps are showing us right now: work with each other and be happy for each other's success. It's the right thing to do. No more squabbling.

Who won American Idol Season 7? David.
