David Archuleta - The End of Fanblast

At the end of Eric's goodbye post, he writes:

"And lastly, I thank David Archuleta. I won’t gush or get all Rickey’ish (haha pun intended Rickey)."

What? I heard my name, what's going on? LOL

I guess it is safe to say that poor planning and execution led to the perfect storm for one of David Archuleta's prominent (and once favored) fansites.

Some lessons:
1. Create realistic expectations when embarking on a nationwide tour
2. If something goes wrong, apologize immediately
3. Don't appeal to pity, if money or any type of commitment from the other party was involved

After all the drama, I'm sad to see this site go. It was interesting to see grown-ups fight publicly over a 17-year-old on the Internet, but now that's over. Shucks.

Finally, Eric thanked "Claudia for her constant texts back in the day".

What??? Claudia is like my new BFF. I want her to be my textmate! So jealous...
