David Archuleta - Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll - Suggestions

Hopefully it's not too late to influence David Archuleta and whoever it is that is choosing his songs for him on American Idol!

I just finished going over the list, and if these songs are available he should consider singing these:

For the slow song:

Your Song by Elton John (this is PERFECT, tears will flow)
Imagine by John Lennon

For the fast song:

(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson
Something to Talk About by Bonnie Raitt

Some other choices:

Blowin in the Wind by Bob Dylan
What’s Going On by Marvin Gaye
Let’s Stay Together by Al Green
Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrisson
Devil with a Blue Dress On & Good Golly Miss Molly by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels
Will You Love Me Tomorrow by The Shirelles
Bridge over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel
Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen

Go David! All these songs are great, make them your own!
