David Archuleta - Archey Report - Long Island, NY - 08/05/08

(Here's the Archey Report from Nicole from Long Island, NY! Nicole was one of our cellcasters that night. Thanks!)
Okay...so I'm gonna try and remember everything as best as I can!!
We came to Nassau Coliseum at around 11:00. This was my fourth show, so by this time I knew what to expect. There was only a small crowd outside the buses that obviously only grew as time went by. Then at around 2:30-3:00 they start to come out. David Cook was the first to come out and he took his sweet time talking and signing and taking pictures. He literally got to everyone and he was a really cool guy. He had all of these dogtags around his neck so I asked to take a look at them! So as I 'm fishing through them (as they are still on him by the way) I found one that said "Welcome To Existence". So I gave him props for his "Switchfoot" dog tag and said "Now, you have to work on Archie and get him to sing some Switchfoot" To which he replied "I don't think I can get Archie to do much of anything!" haha it was cute! Then Kristy came out, and finally Archie. He came to our section first and tried to sign for us really quick because he told us he had to do press. I think he even mentioned that he didn't even get to eat (aww). I told him that since it was their last show here that he had to shake it extra special for us onstage during "Stand By Me". To which he replied with a giggle and sang "Shake it" by Metro Station. He was like "Shake Shake Shake it!" lol he was funny. Anyways, Archie tried his best to get to everyone on our side, which he accomplished..only until he realized there was a whole other line of people on the other side. So before he left, Archie goes running over and gives 'em all high fives! lol. Then in the midst of all the madness Brooke comes out, and then after a little awhile Jason. We did ask about date night, and he said he would if he had time.
Afterward we all just basically hung out 'till it was time to go inside for the show. The it starts and the awesomeness begins! haha
Chikezie: Awesome! Even though he hasn't been feeling well lately, you would never know it through his performance! He always makes a strong effort to get the crowd going.
Ramielle: Extremely talented. Especially during "Love will lead you back". TV doesn't do her voice justice. She was great.
Michael Johns: So Johns comes on and the crowd goes wild!! He was amazing and "Dream On" got my whole section pumping out their glowsticks!! haha!!!
Kristy Lee Cook: That girl knows how to work a crowd. She did a good job trying to bring some country into New York!
Carly Smithson: Carly rocked it out for us and we loved it! She sang "I drove all night" and all the ladies went crazy!!
Brooke White: I was very impressed with Brooke. Especially with her rendition of "Let it Be". It was amazing.
Jason Castro: wow.. what can you say about Jason? haha. I cell-casted for his set so I didn't pay too much attention, but I thought "Somewhere over the Rainbow" sounded great.
Syesha Mercado: “Listen” was definitely her best song. Her vocal skills are crazy! I was with Noelle (Embrace it!!) and she showed her true fanesha colors. haha!
David Cook: Cook is awesome. Enough said. He had us all on our feet for his entire set and was throwing out guitar picks left and right into the crowd. He dedicated "My Hero" not to his brother as usual, but to the little girl that he wears the orange bracelet for. I know that Cook won lots of people over from this show.I'm an Archie, but I have to say that Cook was one of my favorites of the night.
David Archuleta: Okay, so I know this one is gonna sound a bit biased, but whatever!! Archie's the best!!! I don't know about other people, but he had me screaming from the second I saw him emerge from the stage 'till his final wave to the crowd before Cook came on. I honestly can't say enough about him. He's phenomenal. Every song he sang, he put so much feeling and emotion into his performance, you can't help but feel it with him. And yes, he did shake it during "Stand By Me"! haha!
Overall, The concert was GREAT and if you haven't seen it yet, you're in for one heck of a time! And to all my Archies: David Archuleta FTW!!!!
