David Archuleta - Archey Report #1 - Detroit, MI - 07/25/08

Part 1
OMG you guys I am still shaking! We arrived early and were there right when the doors opened. We walked into the arena to find our seats and when I saw how good they were I started to SCREAM repeatedly and CRY! My sister and niece were officially afraid of what was in store for the rest of the evening! LOL I thought I was going to vomit but I forced myself to eat dinner and drink something so I wouldn't pass out. I felt better after I ate but I started to sweat and cried off all my makeup! Major fangirl moment!
I hope no one minds but I am not going to go over the other people's performances - I can do it later if you want me too. I will say that everyone was really good and it was a very good show! When Syesha came out I knew it wouldn't be long until David A.'s set. I started crying again, and sweating again LOL! I have the video of his introduction and Angels but I don't think I'll be able to upload it with Photobucket because it is telling me that the file is too large. If anyone has another idea that would be great but I do not have a Youtube account, maybe I'll have to open one.
When David came up with the piano the whole place EXPLODED in Archulove! It was so awesome, and I think my heart may have stopped beating for a few seconds. He was so awesome, as usual, and everyone was going crazy. Apologize was molten hot but I just couldn't video it because I was too busy convulsing, screaming, and otherwise flipping out! Sorry! He chatted after Apologize, and had to keep waiting for it to be quiet, and kept thanking us over and over, and "Gosh"-ing! He said "WOOOOOO Detroit! You guys really know how to party! You're SO LOUD! Thank you so much! WOW! Woooooo! Detroit!" He is so flipping cute! LOL They turned on the lights so he could see his standing ovation - he seemed really happy.
Stand by Me was awesome and everyone was going crazy. I had a silver angel coin with "love" engraved on the back that I had tried to take over to the railing area for someone to hand him but security told me that the Davids were told NOT TO touch anyone. I didn't ask anyone to give him the coin because I figured they wouldn't be able to. The Davids did in fact shake hands and high five people so that was upsetting because I should have given someone the coin.
WYSYLM was mind-bendingly beautiful. His voice is SO DIFFERENT in person. It literally fills the whole space and takes your breath away. His set was over so quickly but it was so spectacular and beautiful. David Archuleta's talent is bigger than life - he was so tremendously on point, comfortable, and the best thing is that he is GENUINE. He doesn't have to say or do anything to get the crowd going.
I tried to take good pictures, and I have some good ones, but alot of them came out blurry. It was all just too exciting! I was in a full body sweat by the time his set was over, lovely huh?
Part 2 - Hunkerdowns, nostrils, and OMG I freakin' smelled him!!!!!!!!!!
So I had THE BEST nostril-fest ever! The screen was HUGE!! My seats were awesome! OMG OMG. I told my sister about him being a sexy beast! LOL
The Hunkerdowns were SUPREME - I sent Rickey the link to my pics!!
So after we waited forever to go to the bathroom after the concert, I was feeling rather brave somehow and told my sister that we should peek outside and see if they were leaving on the buses yet. So we go outside and the security guards are setting up some kind of barricade and everyone is getting really excited and lining up outside along the arena wall. So I asked the guard what was going on and he said that the Idols were going to sign autographs! In a split decision I asked my sis and niece if they wanted to try and they said yes so we sprinted to the end of the line, which was literally wrapped around the block. I figured there was no way, no way they'd get to us. We decided we would wait a while to see what happened.
The security guards had us file in closer to the front of the barricades, so we actually kind of got to cut in line quite a bit. We ended up being in the middle of the line instread of the end. I honestly thought I might catch a glimpse of David running by doing high fives so I really wasn't that nervous. There were SO many people so I felt pretty safe. I was determined that I wouldn't meet him.
He started coming down the line and people were FREAKING out. He was still very far away but a really tall guy next to me said that he is stopping and talking and not running doing high-fives. I had asked the girls in front of me if they were Archies and they were and I BEGGED them to let me stick my arm through and give him the angel coin and they said "of course!!" Go Archey Angels! So he was getting closer to us and I started to kinda freak out because I couldn't believe I had gotten myself into this situation! This just wasn't happening! As I saw him getting closer I couldn't get over how true it is that he is even more BEAUTIFUL in person. It was just crazy - how can he be so beautiful. How can I be this close to meeting him?? What am I gonna do? What am I gonna say? I decided I would just hand him the coin and say nothing. So he is right there talking to the person next to me and I suddenly felt calm
and decided I would just tell him that I have something for him. So he came up to me (OOMMGG) and I said, "Hi David, I have something for you." and I reached out towards him and he extended his arm and hand and I placed it into his palm! He looked at it and then looked directly into my eyes (THUD) and said " Oh Gosh, Is this for me? Thank you very much awwww." and I replied "Yes, and can I have a hug please?" and he said "Sure" so he started to lean in towards me and I went in towards him and as soon as I did I started in inhale as much of his airspace as I could! As I got closer in I turned my head quickly towards his neck!!!!! It was very covert.....and sneaky LOL. (David I am sorry I smelled you but I just had to!!) I had a hard time focusing because I was so excited because it was a two arm hug from him and I totally wrapped both my arms around him and patted his back with my right hand, and I totally squeezed him LOL! I pressed myself against him like a woman with NO SHAME LOL!
I was overcome with joy! He smelled like nutmeg and cinnamon sugar I swear to you! I'm not kidding! OMG in Heaven above I met and hugged David! He was so cute, and solid feeling! I was overwhelmed!
Then I look up and I'm staring at Jeff Archuleta! I was so surprised! So I said, "Hi Jeff!!!" And he looked at me and smiled. I said "We love you! Thanks for supporting David and being so awesome - can I have a hug?" So he says "You want to hug ME?" and I said "yes!" So he said "OK." So I gave him a huge hug and then I told him about how if the CD came out before Halloween that I was gonna dress up like an angel and pass the CD out instead of candy! He laughed really hard and told me that was awesome! I told him that we'd all love to hear David sing "I'll Be" again and he said "Have you seen him singing it when he younger on Youtube?" So I said "Of course, the middle school talent competition?" And he laughed and said "You've done your homework I see!" So he said "We'll see about that but there is a lot a great stuff coming soon." So I told him I couldn't wait!!!!
I could barely drive home, I was so hyper! I could barely sleep! OMG OMG It was the best night EVER!
