David Archuleta - Archey Report #2 - Columbus, OH - 07/20/08

(Here's Kim's Archey Report from Columbus, OH! Yay!)
My husband and I got to the arena a little before 12:30. We were hoping to make it to the Fanblast shout-out. Unfortunately, they weren't at this venue. We were shocked to see how many people were waiting for the singers. At least 100. It was neat to see people of all ages there. We got a good spot right next to the fence. Nearby were 2 big tour buses, which we thought housed the singers. So we were thinking they would come out soon. But it wasn't them at all. The buses with the singers came alter, and after over two hours of waiting, finally! (Thank God for the breeze--it was a hot day.) Syesha, Ramielle, and Kristy came out. Kristy said they were in a big hurry, because they had to do press. Then Brooke came out--she is so sweet! Next out--Archie! He is so sweet. He seemed very concerned with making sure he got through the whole line. I wish we would have had more time with him--but I was glad to get his autograph and tell him how much we enjoy his music. He was appreciative of all the support. Then Cook and Jason came out. Cook was so laid-back. He's a good guy. I'm not sure if anyone else came out--we left then.
As far as the show goes--it was great. It was also packed. Way more people than last year. I especially enjoyed Brooke and Jason. I am not a big Jason fan, but I admit he did a good job. The best part, of course, was David A. He had the most powerful voice of anyone, not even close. He came up in the smoke, playing the piano and singing Angels. Then came Apologize. He told everyone how much he appreciated all the support, and then he sang Stand By Me, but with a twist. Halfway through he went into Beautiful Girls, and it was so cute. He did this little dance--priceless. He finished with When You Say You Love Me. POWERFUL! I can't wait for his album. The one thing I would say--the wardrobe people are out to get him. His pants were huge and baggy on him--not flattering at all. It did not suit a 17-year old. Oh well. Then he introduced Cook. He said he always enjoys watching Cook, and he did put on a good show as well. Then the group number gave us one more chance to see all of them. Overall, a great show. Hopefully not the last time we get to see Archie in concert.
