David Archuleta - Archey Report - Chicago -10/22/08

We have an Archey Report from Chicago! Stacey was one the scene...

I met up with a couple fellow Archie fans, Joy and Sophie, down at 233 N Michigan to see David at KISS FM and the Mix in Chicago. We thought our best bet was going to be waiting outside the Mix (his last interview of the day) because we thought he'd have more time to spend with fans. Lucky for us, we didn't take any chances and we waited at KISS. We saw him go in and he tried to come say hi to us, but the security at the building would not let us in. They actually trapped us in the revolving doors! Archie gave us an apologetic look and said "I'm sorry!" and that he'd be back to see us on his way out. There were only six of us outside, so when the interview was finished he made good on his promise and came to meet us! I was excited to see Jeff and they both remembered me (aww)! We all got a few quick pictures and then David had to go. We expected that he would be getting into a car, but it turns out he was walking over to the Mix. Well, we were going that way, so we just followed him! He kept turning around to talk to us, so we took that as a sign that it was okay to catch up with them. David was chatty. He asked if I was going to post the video online because he wanted to show his friend just how windy it actually was in Chicago. I told him I would. At that point we had reached the Mix studios. We followed him inside (Jeff held the door for us!) but decided to remain in the lobby area. We waited around til after the interview was over. As he was leaving he waved to us from the elevator and that was the last we saw of him. He was so nice! Thanks for a great morning, Archie!
