David Archuleta - Archey Report #1 - San Jose, CA

Hello angels,
This is SandyParks reporting about San Jose concert and meeting on July 8th.
Ramiele, DC, Brooke, Kristy, Carly, Syesha, Jason then DA was the order in which they came out after the bus dropped them. DC was a bit grumpy - Mcluvin will explain more as I was not anywhere near him. When he came closer I thanked him for taking care of Archie for which he said "thank you". He just shrugged his shoulders when asked about the whereabouts of DA. JC came out swinging, happy and acted goofy with the fans - lots of teens were after him to sign all sorts of things, even managed to pilfer his water bottle and had it signed. Towards the end he came out with his own video camera and took the video of his fans and then turned around and took video of himself which was rather funny to watch. Why DA came out in the end is no secret - right! We were behind bars(literally and figuratively) - of course we did not care as we felt zillion watt electricity engulfed us when he came and transported us to the his planet M(music). He was signing autographs for about 10 mins after which he was whisked off for lunch. The security told us that there was sound check after that hence he could not tell us when he would come out next. Having waited for so long and not seeing him was not an option for most of us hence we stayed. To our surprise he came out in about 10 mins to sign again - he understands us right! In the scorching heat (105 degrees) he was wiping the sweat of his face, smiling gloriously, smearing some of the sharpie ink on his face(cute moment) he talked to us. He made eye contact with everyone as he spoke - did not have sunglasses on like the others(the true gifted kid who needs no facade to hide his emotions). I think ALW's advice about him not closing his eyes connotes a different reason for me - it is like a pair of rare earth magnets which can communicate. Although we enjoy reading rave reviews about him, I think his fans have to meet him AT LEAST ONCE to know what it is like being around him(even behind bars :(( ) He is in a different level, not just a cut above the rest in nature or character but in the state of consciousness.
When we were around him, we were toungue-tied asking inane questions. I guess we felt inebriated just looking at his champagne colored eyes. He said hi to my son who is in Norway on an exchange program which is edited from the tape. He is the musician kid who will be thrilled to bits when I send him the video footage and a signed picture of DA with him side by side.
Now for the show, Michael Johns was awesome. He brought the house down. Carly was good too. Michael and Carly were interchangeably my 2nd and 3rd favorites. JC's "Crazy" rendition made us scream for earplugs. Da's entry made the entire arena get up on their feet. All the songs were awesome - all of them had some improvs. Syesha's dress and DA's suit must absolutely go(yaiiks -uncomfortable in that heat). When he sang "When you say you love me", Mcluvin and I were like elements with the highest melting point - poof we were non-existent. Mcluvin should be able to post some videos. Then came DC who worked the crowd by saying "I love San Jose etc". He said that this was their 6th city and the crowd has become larger and louder(I guess AI must have coached him to say that - more crowd more $$ - right!). When DC sang during AI episodes, it used to be my time to go to the kitchen to attend my chores, but at the arena I had no choice but to sit in the chair when everyone around me were standing up listening to the SOUND and nothing but LOUD SOUND. May be I have Hyperacusis. Sorry (DA fans who are partially DC fans) - nothing stirs inside me when I hear noise. Mcluvin was looking at me wondering why I was seated and immediately she figured out a way to make things interesting for me - she pointed to Jeff Archuleta who was in the same row near the PA system. We made eye-contact with him. He was with Jazzy - DA's cute sister. She had gone on a couple of tours with DA. We shook hands with Jeff and started a conversation on the side and soon there were quite a few disinterested ones like me joined in the conversation amidst the chaos. We saw Lupe after a while, and then came DA's uncle. This side show was more interesting than the main event. All of them were staying with DA's uncle in livermore. I will talk about a couple of things we discussed on teamarchie chat. In essence we met most of the members of the Archuletas. I have sent Rickey 3 videos - pl dont crucify me for silly conversations as all the important q's I had flew out of my head when I saw him. We could not take pictures with him because of the jail cell background but we have a his picture etched in our heart :)
