Daughtry - 4 A.M. - Official Video

For this year's Third Annual Esquire Songwriting Challenge, American Idol alum Chris Daughtry took out his sharp songwriting skills and penned "4 A.M". Other participants in the challenge are Grammy-winning soul star Anthony Hamilton, indie artists Craig Finn and Rhett Miller, and multiplatinum Canadian rocker Sam Roberts. The new issue will hit shelves next week on April 24.

As part of the challenge, they had to use the Esquire's "Pacific Standard Time" fashion port photographed by Danny Clinch in the Coachella Valley. The songs that were created were:

"4:00 A.M." by Chris Daughtry

"Home By Five" by Anthony Hamilton

"Respective Coasts" by Craig Finn

"Faultline Blues" by Sam Roberts

"Cassandra" by Rhett Miller

The tracks are currently available for download, and proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

The accompanying video dropped earlier today for "4 A.M." The track is a perfect representation of who Daughtry is as an artist. This could totally be on an album!
