Darren Criss declined hosting job on The X Factor

Darren Criss was offered the job as host of The X Factor, but he has declined, according to a report from E! Online.

OMG! What? Why?

You know who would be a great host from Glee? Kevin McHale! He was awesome on the Pepsi commercials for The X Factor. Jim Cantiello would be awesome too. And I'm still holding out for original hosting prospect Corbin Bleu!

Mr. Criss politely declined the gig, according to a source.

I'm told Criss decided not to join Simon Cowell & Co. because of his busy schedule, plus he'd rather spend his time singing and dancing than hosting. "They were after him," a show insider said. "But there's no way he could have done it with everything he has going on."
