Danny Gokey - Exit Interview - American Idol Extra

Danny Gokey's exit interview on American Idol Extra.

"Ten months ago I stood at my wife's casket, I didn't know where to go ... and now I'm Top 3 on American Idol."

Danny also said that the heart symbol is Sophia's heart and he wants his music to be a "movement" -- I think he wants the fans to do the heart-thing when he is singing.

Clearly, Danny Gokey's American Idol journey is all about promoting Sophia's Heart Foundation -- as he couldn't wait to talk about it himself in this interview. Get ready for the press run, it's all going to be about Sophia.

Hate me all you want, but I told you so. In fairness, Danny's ministry will do very well after this stint on American Idol. I sincerely hope he raises a lot of money! All that grief played out in the media should be worth something right? Good luck!

For the record, Jordin Sparks was first to use that heart symbol on American Idol.
