Dance Moms - Season 3 Episode 33 - Recap - Gone, Abby Gone
Leslie proves herself to be a more entertaining villain than Cathy ever was on a new episode of Dance Moms. Here is our recap for season 3 episode 33 of Dance Moms: “Gone, Abby Gone.”

The team will not be feeling Abby's wrath this week. She has not shown up for Pyramid and hasn't even told her assistant Gianna where she is or when she will be back. Melissa claims that Abby is in Florida with her mother to take care of her but Christi finds a picture on Abby's instagram where she's at a meet and greet. Does Abby just not want to face the moms this week? Is this a ploy to take a break?
Gia decides to work on a group dance with a choreographer friend until Abby texts her back. While this is going on, Christi thinks it's a good idea to let Kelly know that Abby isn't around and it's the perfect time to sneak back into the studio with her kids. Leslie is not happy about this and she makes it known. I have never seen a grown woman instigate so much crap in such a short amount of time but Leslie really excels at doing it.
Meanwhile, with the absence of Abby, no one knows who will be getting a solo this week. Even though they have no reason to be fighting, Kristie 2.0 and Jill get into it over possible scenarios. I love Jill. She never backs down.
Day 2 rolls around and still no Abby. Pressed for time, Gia decides to hand out a couple of solos. She awards one to Asia and one to Maddie..AKA the safe choices. Brooke, newly in the studio and eager to dance, asks for a solo for herself. When Abby hears about this, she threatens to fire Gia if she choreographs a dance for her.
Melissa invites a little girl named Hannah who had brain surgery to meet Maddie and the girls. Melissa seems more into it than Maddie and needs to work on her social skills a bit. When trying to figure out what to do with Hannah after the competition, she accidentally makes her cry. It all works out though when Maddie dedicates her performance to her and gives her her winning trophy. Spoiler alert!
Melissa calls Abby once again when the girls are getting ready for the competition. Not aware that she's on speaker phone, (or she may very well have been aware and just did it anyway because she's a horrible person) Abby says she won't come back until Brooke and Paige are out of her studio. Paige doesn't seem to give a crap but Brooke cries.
I don't understand why Brooke and Paige are there if it was such a big deal that Gia was going to be fired? They never mentioned it again. They all perform anyway and Brooke does a solo to her own song. And it doesn't sound horrible!
