Dance Moms - Season 3 Episode 32 - Recap - The Dancing Dead

Abby begins her usual pyramid presentation and Maddie is shockingly not at the top. Nia is on the top of the pyramid this week. Yay! Good for her. But I'm a little distracted by all the mascara she seems to be wearing. I still think these girls are eternally 9 years old. We'll be heading to Orlando, Florida for the competition this week and the girls are waiting with a tense air for who will be awarded a solo.
Solos: Chloe, Kendall, and Nia. None for Gretchen Weiners Maddie.
Maddie and Melissa are visibly pissed that they can't be up Abby's butt this week doing a solo. It's Nia's solo in particular that they want because it's a tribute to Abby's dog, Broadway Baby.
So about this dog. We know Broadway Baby passed away but we did not know what Abby decided to do with her. She had Broadway Baby preserved. Even better, she brings the cameras to the taxidermist. I'm just. I'm disturbed and creeped out. Abby weeps at the sight of her pup and laments the fact she never put her in commercials. I mean. Okay?
Kelly invites her fellow dance moms, minus Melissa, over for drinks to catch up. We don't learn what Paige has been up to but we see..or in this unfortunate case, hear, what Brooke has been up to. She's recording a new song that's sure to top the charts.
The hangout doesn't end well. Eventually, Christi ends up storming out when Jill admits she may have done the same thing Melissa did but with Kendall.
Once we're seated at the dance competition in Orlando, Kelly shows up to crash the party. She just so happens to travel across the country? She wants to sit with her friends but Abby refuses to move. Kelly ends up standing and hovering next to her for most of the competition until Abby's mom calls her out. Why are so many of the seats empty? Does anyone else actually ever show up to these things?

Kendall - 5th Place
Chloe - 2nd Place
Group - 4th Place
The moms blow up at each other because Leslie refuses to see that she's disposable and only brought around when Abby needs her tudey daughter to fill Brooke's dance shoes..and for ratings. Leslie wants to be here to stay but no one wants her around. Kristie 2.0 is sick of all the bickering and takes her bangin' bod out the door to find Asia some better opportunities.
