Dana Williams Saved By West Coast on Rising Star (VIDEO)

The final round of the live duels aired last night on Rising Star, and it led to some of the best battles of the competition so far. However, when it was all said and done, only four acts advanced: Shameia Crawford, Audrey Kate Geiger, Maneepat Molloy, and Joshua Peavey.

This left four acts to vie for the West Coast Save: Morgan Higgins, Dana Williams, Karen Hornsby, and vocal quartet Unselfish.

After the votes were tabulated on the West Coast, only one singer earned the save to become the thirteenth singer in the Top 13...

DANA WILLIAMS!

Dana Williams sang a stirring rendition of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," which earned her 67% of the vote. Given how low-scoring some of these duels were, that might have been enough to get her through had she been up against anyone else but Audrey Kate Geiger, who delivered one of the best performances of the competition so far (for my money) with her take on "Make You Feel My Love," which earned her 88% of the vote. This save is giving Williams a shot at redemption, and considering that she's a better singer than some of the people who actually won their duels, I think this was a good call by the West Coast. Then again, five singers will be going home next week, so this might have just bought her one extra week. I suppose we'll find out in seven days.

What do you think of the West Coast's decision? Sound off in the comments!
