Dan Marino is Belately Suing the NFL Over Some Football Concussions
Quarterback Dan Marino (who will always be in our hearts as the kidnap victim in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective) is suing the NFL for the concussions he suffered while playing the sport. From 1983 to 1999.
We'd say it's super late to get on that, but you know, all those concussions probably messed with his head.
The Miami Dolphins Hall of Famer was one of 15 players named in a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia against the league. The lawsuit accuses the NFL of concealing and withholding information about brain injuries sustained while playing football. All of which they have denied.
Marino's complaint claims that he "sustained repetitive, traumatic sub-concussive and/or concussive head impacts during NFL games and/or practices" and is seeking "medical monitoring and unspecified financial recovery."
