Damage Control - Ryan Seacrest Interviews Paula Abdul

I'm so disappointed. Ryan Seacrest trying his best to explain away Paula Abdul's blunder last night on American Idol.
Isn't it easier to admit that there's a script and Paula Abdul accidentally read the script for Jason Castro's second song? However, the show can't do that because it would be admitting that there is some kind of manipulation going on -- on a show that prides itself in giving America the power to choose.
So what's this now? Paula Abdul did not hear Jason Castro's first performance "Forever in Blue Jeans" because of all the commotion, and then caught the tail end of "September Morn" dress rehearsals -- and then because she was confused with how the show went, judged those two songs -- which for all intents and purposes were not the same performances the TV audience saw? (She did not "hear" Forever in Blue Jeans and the dress rehearsal was never aired). That's the official story now? She was writing notes for the "September Morn" dress rehearsals of which she only saw a clip of? Didn't she just read her cue cards with so much confidence? Also, what happened to the I was reading my notes for David Cook she said live on the air and the ET Online interview in the car? (Read: I was reading David Cook's critique instead of Jason Castro's).
By the way, Ryan Seacrest said he was reading the blogs -- are you reading Rickey.org Ryan???
Ryan: I love this show! Non-stop entertainment!
